Painting and stucco are where Kanos Group started, and they remain our core trades. We work for general contractors on tenant improvements, healthcare and senior living renovations, retail and restaurant refreshes, and exterior repaints of occupied commercial buildings across Tampa Bay.
We price from your drawings and finish schedule, show our quantities, and staff the job with our own painters and stucco crew so the schedule you get at bid time is the one we work to in the field.
Interior work is usually the last trade in and the first thing the owner sees. We handle:
Florida sun, rain and salt air are hard on exterior finishes. We repair cracked and delaminated stucco, prepare and prime, and apply elastomeric or acrylic coating systems specified by the manufacturer or the architect.
On occupied buildings we agree work areas and hours with the GC and the property, protect floors and furniture, and turn spaces back clean at the end of each shift. On new work we follow the superintendent's sequence and keep a crew available for the last-week punch list, which is where most schedules slip.
We apply the coating systems named in the specification, whether that is Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, PPG or another manufacturer, and we submit product data sheets and color schedules for approval before we start. When the architect or owner wants to see a finish first, we prepare drawdowns or a sample area for sign-off.
If a specified product is a poor fit for the substrate or the exposure, for example an interior-grade product on a wall that gets direct rain, we raise it as an RFI during bidding instead of after the fact.
Closeout is where painting and stucco subs earn or lose a GC's trust. We walk the punch list with the superintendent, return for touch-ups after other trades finish, and leave the owner labeled touch-up paint and a finish schedule showing which product and color went where.
Kanos Group LLC is insured and provides a certificate of insurance (COI) on request. Permitted work is performed under our Florida Certified General Contractor partner, Hilda Maria Balbi, CGC1508959, qualifying agent and permit signatory.
Certificates of insurance, W-9 and lien waivers are provided with every subcontract.
